Laubenstein Construction Company, a General Contracting company, was formed in 1970 by Ken Laubenstein after many years of construction experience. Steven Laubenstein, present owner and president, has been with the company since his childhood and started by scraping floors and pounding nails on job sites until he took over the business in 1985.
Laubenstein Construction specializes in the building of custom homes and remodeling, as well as commercial projects in the Door County area. Most of our clients come to us from out of the area to take advantage of our expertise in high quality construction and our exceptional organization from the office to the job site.
Laubenstein Construction has two main in-house employee crews. Each crew stays on the project from the start of framing to finish of construction, and all take great pride in their work. Laubenstein Construction also does all the painting and staining at our office / shop location, and provides all our employees with state of the art tools and lift’s that stay on the job site which gives our company better control of the quality assurance we and our valued clients demand.
Many clients do not understand how important the framing material and labor are to the quality of a home. Laubenstein Construction's quality of framing is as exceptional as our finishing - it all needs to fit - and you will be assured of that quality once you view a home in the framing stages. Framing construction needs to fit tightly or it will come back to haunt the home or building owner years down the line. Laubenstein Construction demands clean job-sites, and all construction elements that are not attached to the building are covered nightly.
At this time, Laubenstein Construction Company has 15 year-round employees, and our office staff consists of one-full time Secretary, a Job Superintendent, and Steve Laubenstein as president and manager. The balance of the employees are on-site personnel. Some items are sub-contracted out (mainly the non-wood parts of the project) and our sub-contractors know the high quality expectations we demand of them. Laubenstein Construction is fully insured and also carries certificates of insurance on all our sub-contractors in our office. These are but a few reasons why you should use Laubenstein Construction Company for your building needs. We are not an arm chair General Contractor that subs out our carpenters and carries no construction equipment. Laubenstein Construction is built on organization, employees, and construction equipment.
